Supporting No Falls Week: Extra Free Height Safety Training for All Staff

From 18th–22nd May, we are proudly supporting No Falls Week, a national campaign led by the No Falls Foundation dedicated to raising awareness of safe working at height and preventing avoidable workplace incidents.

Working at height continues to be one of the most significant safety risks in the UK workplace. Falls from height remain the leading cause of workplace fatalities, accounting for approximately 30% of all workplace deaths. The latest figures highlight the ongoing need for vigilance and training:

In 2024–25 alone:

  • 35 people lost their lives (around one person every 10 days)
  • 44,000 people were injured (around 5 people every hour)
  • 416,000 working days were lost

Over the past 10 years:

  • 361 people have lost their lives
  • 425,000 people have been injured

At our organisation, safety is a core priority, and No Falls Week provides an important opportunity to reinforce best practice and ensure everyone understands the risks associated with working at height.

Free Optional Height Safety Training

To support this campaign, we are offering all staff a free, optional online height safety course. The training is designed to refresh awareness, strengthen safe working practices, and help ensure that everyone who works at height returns safely at the end of the day.

There is no cost to our staff and no obligation to participate, but it is strongly encouraged for anyone involved in or supporting work at height activities.

Further details on how to access the course will be shared internally.

By taking part, we can all contribute to a safer working environment and help reduce the number of preventable falls in the workplace.
